Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies can be set when you visit highlighty.app. For everything else about your data, see our Privacy Policy.

Our own cookies

highlighty.app sets no cookies of its own. We use no advertising, tracking or social-media cookies, and we work with no ad networks.

Website analytics

We count visits with Simple Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. It gives us aggregate numbers only, such as page views and referring websites.

Cookies set by other services

Two services we embed may set their own cookies, under their own policies, when you use them:

• YouTube (Google): some pages embed our tutorial videos. A video player loads only when you scroll to it, and YouTube may set cookies once it does.
• Paddle: our checkout page loads Paddle's checkout, which may set cookies needed to take your payment.

The Highlighty extension

The browser extension uses no cookies for tracking and contains no analytics or advertising code. When you open a PDF from a web address in PDF Search, the extension downloads it from the website that hosts it using your existing sign-in to that website, the same way your browser would. What the extension stores on your device is described in our Privacy Policy.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not affect highlighty.app; it may stop embedded videos or the checkout from working.
