Build a Keyword List Once, Use It on Every Page (Excel Import)

You're reviewing a contract, and there are fifteen terms you care about — indemnity, termination, liability, auto-renewal, and the rest. Or you're scanning job listings for the same dozen skills every day. Typing each one into find, one at a time, is the slow way to do it.
Highlighty's answer is a saved keyword list. You build it once, each keyword gets its own color, and every term highlights at the same time on every page while the list is active. This post covers how to build one, how to save several, and how to import a big list straight from an Excel or Google Sheets file.

The list is the multi-keyword workflow — not the search bar
This is the one thing worth getting straight up front. The multi-color, multi-keyword highlighting people love is the saved query list, built in the popup. You add each keyword as its own query, give it a color, and all of them light up together on every page while the list is active.
The Cmd+F search bar is a different tool. It's for finding the single term you type right now, with its modifiers, plus chips for the queries you've already saved. So when you want a whole set of colored keywords standing by on every page, that's the list — not several words typed into the bar.
Build a list once
Add your keywords as queries in the popup. Each query gets its own color — pick one from the palette, or let the randomizer assign one. The highlight's text color adapts automatically for readability, so you don't have to think about contrast.
Once the list is active, every term highlights at the same time, on every page you open. You read normally and the things you care about are already standing out.
Save several lists for different projects
Most people don't have just one set of keywords. You might have contract terms for one job, competitor names for another, and a stack of skills you screen resumes against. "Save query list" lets you keep multiple named lists and switch between them, so each project has its own set ready to go. The number of lists you can save is unlimited.

Import a big list from Excel or Google Sheets
Typing forty keywords by hand is no fun. If your list already lives in a spreadsheet, you can import it directly. Go to Popup → Advanced → Query list features → Bulk query upload and select an .xlsx file. Excel and Google Sheets both export to .xlsx, so either works.
On the free version, bulk import has an upload size limit. PRO removes it, so very large lists import in one go. If your list is small, the free limit may be all you ever need.
Move a list between machines
"Download/upload query list" (also under Query list features) lets you export your current list to a file and load it back later — handy for moving a list to another computer or keeping a copy before you make big changes. Download on one machine, upload on the other, and you're set.
